After taking several classes on Crystal Therapeutics and learning about the healing qualities of gemstones, I decided to release some of my creativity by making healing jewelry. In the beginning my designs were given as gifts to friends and family. It quickly became apparent that the jewelry had some appeal as more and more people were requesting custom pieces.
Purple Coyote Open Houses and Shows have become my favorite way to show my designs. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than seeing someone's face light up with delight when they find a piece that "speaks" to them.
I search the globe for gemstones with just the right shapes, colors and qualities to suit the Purple Coyote style. I sometimes use African Trade beads delivered directly to me from Ghana. I love them and what they stand for. I have some favorite artisans from whom I buy sterling silver. They are located in Indonesia and Thailand. Their silver is beautiful and simple! Perfect for my designs!
Some of my favorite stones are the spicy cinnamon Carnelian, the earthy subdued hues of the Agates and the many shades and shapes of Turquoise from Tibet, Turkey, Arizona, etc.
